Competitions running on Kishboo magazine, take a look.
My story, Three Little Words, came on the longlist of
Alfie dog competition. Shame it didn't make it to the shorlist.
Now that story has gone off to Woman's Weekly mag. It came back and has
now been published on Creative Frontiers. On May 27th it will be published on Alfie dog website.
Also, Three Little Flowers is on Kishboo. Please click on like, that's
if you read it and like it of course.
People's Friend serial competition is another one I've tried, and Alfie dog again this year.
Emerald. Nobody will ever know. I've been long listed in this competition, so hoping to get to the shortlist, or better still, win... Keeping fingers crossed. Oh my goodness, I had a text message from Eddie Walsh on Sunday night to say I'D WON!!! How fab is that? I've come first out of a list of 65 other entrants. If you'd like to read my unusual story, it's here.
I've sent my entry in to the Festival of Romance. It's for new writers, they want 3,500 wds or your first chapter of your novel... Hope they like it. I've paid for the critique as well, though I'd like to win of course. Great news, have a look here to see who's on the shortlist, crikey, now there's a word I haven't used in a while but it about fits what I feel, so crikey look here...
That was 2012, now I'm trying again. Wish me luck. Still working on the novel but it's been edited quite a lot since then. And, whoopee, I'm on the shortlist for 2014. From 49 entries, and they say that the standard was very high, I am on the shortlist of 11. So I'm thrilled about that, and will be there on Saturday 13th September, more news on that soon. I was sitting in the audience, and no, I didn't win, but now working on completing the novel. GET IT DONE, AND STOP TALKING ABOUT IT..... It's done and entered into Choc Lit Search for a Star competition, wish me luck...
